I’m finding it hard
To write it all out
The places I dreamt of
And what I spoke about
I’m finding it difficult
To create change everyday
Not to fall into habit
Not to go back the same way
When you’re afloat in the middle
To not grasp for the shore
Is a constant battle
To make a choice for much more
It’s a conscious inner-dialogue
“I deserve better and greater”
While the “I am enough”
Must get louder and stronger
Without believing we’re whole
We can’t build something new
It has to start from a spark
That’s authentic to you
So I’m finding it hard
To get back to that place
Treading water is exhausting
Will I get anywhere at this pace?
But if I cease to keep moving
I’ll drown where I stand
If I cease to keep building
I’ll have nowhere to land
Like reaching for stars
With your feet on the ground
They’ll both be there in the end
Once your journey is found
I’ll keep splashing about
I’d rather flounder than fall
Onto a familiar soft surface
That is, for me, much too small
